It was a town where its residents didn't lock their doors. That is until Wilber moved to town. Wilber Martinez-Guzman left his home in El Salvador in 2016 and arrived in the US. Gerald and Sharon hired Wilber to work around their property until he was fired in July. Nineteen year-old Wilber was in a desperate search for cash. He went back to Gerald and Sharon's property and broke in to an outbuilding. There, he helped himself to fishing rods, a skill saw and hunting gear. But the haul wasn't enough, he returned the next night. This time he came across a .22 calibre handgun and ammunition. Without hesitation, he scooped them up.
