PODCAST EXCERPT Helen Golay was born in Texas, her life began being shuttled between relatives before ending up in a foster home. Later she moved to California where she became a realtor and invested in rental properties. She lived in a million-dollar-and-half home, wore expensive clothes and drove a Mercedes. Six thousand miles away Olga Rutterschmidt was born in Hungary before moving to the United States. At a health spa in Los Angeles Helen and Olga met and forged a bond. They were brash and aggressive, cruised hotels and hung out around the pool. When the hotel guests turned their back, they stole their wallets and used their credit cards. But a few dollars here and there wasn't enough. So they cruised the streets to find someone who wouldn't be missed. Two men would die over 19 life insurance policies.
