PODCAST EXCERPT Derrill Ennis went by the name Rick. During his young life his mother married four times. He spent his youth being shuffled between housing projects and mobile home parks in Alabama. By age twelve Rick towered over many of his classmates at five-foot- nine and over two-hundred pounds. People made fun of him. As Rick got older he became angry and resentful. Eddie and Dolly moved their family from Brantley to Montgomery. Rick was forced to leave his friends and teachers behind. Arriving in a new town, he knew no one. His mother did her best to make their new place feel homey. Eddie tried to forge a relationship with Rick but he resisted. Then Eddie and Dolly found a nice house ten miles away in Snowdoun. But Rick wasn't interested in moving again and formulated a plan that he wrote down on paper.
