high
school
together
and
began
dating
in
the
summer
of
1987.
The
two
gentle
high
school
sweethearts
quickly fell in love.
In
Woodinville,
just
outside
of
Seattle
Earl
Talbott
ll
grew
up
with
his
parents
and
two
younger
sisters.
Earl
had
a
mean
streak
fueled
by
anger.
Jay’s
father
asked
him
and
Tanya
to
pick
up
furnace
parts
for
his
business
in
Seattle,
Washington.
The
couple
were
looking
forward
to
spending
time
together.
On
November
18,
1987
Jay’s
father
gave
him
$570
for
the
trip.
They
left
with
Jay
left
driving
the
family’s
bronze
Ford
van. The couple would only be gone overnight.
It’s
not
known
exactly
when
or
where
Earl
Talbott
spotted
the
young
couple. Their paths were about to cross.
