dream

was
drafted

Yankees
and played several seasons in their minor league.

baseball

headed
east
with
just

pickup
truck
and
a whole lot of optimism.
As

end

June
Tabor
changed
the
lock
on
the
office
door.
And
didn't
give
David
a
key.
July
5
was
a
Wednesday
afternoon
and
the
two
had
a
long
business
discussion.
David
felt
like
they
had
settled
things.
When
he
left,
David
retrieved
his
22
handgun.
He
planned
to
take
his
life.
But
instead
that
afternoon
he
went
back
to
the
office
at
Tibor's
house. David felt rejected.
Then
he
panicked,
what
had
he
just
done?
He
didn't
know
what
to
do
next.
He
sat
in
terror
for
two
long
hours.

body
