PODCAST EXCERPT A week after Valentine's day in 1980 the three women had plans to meet and go shopping. It was a Thursday and Jamie and Katherine left their apartment on campus and hopped in Jamie's car. Not far into their drive Jamie mentioned she needed to find some plants for her botany class and suggested they take a walk in the wooded area. As they headed in to the treed area Jamie made sure Katherine led the way. Just far enough in to the woods, with no one and around Jamie pulled out the stolen handgun. Jamie   wrote   a   three   page   letter   to   Katherine   and   took   it   to   her   gravesite to   read   it   aloud.   In   her   hand   writing   she   wrote,   "Dear   Katherine,   after all   these   years   I   have   come   to   you.   It   is   me   Jamie,   the   girl   who   took your   life.   I   don't   know   where   to   begin.   I   was   your   friend,   but   I   was obsessed with Tom, and you were in my way."
VICTIM: KATHERINE FOSTER ALL THE WRONG SUSPECTS In 1980 universities felt safe. Until 18 year-old Katherine was murdered in a rage of jealousy. Potential suspects arose and fell. The case went cold. But police never forgot her and thirty years later got justice for Katy.
