PODCAST EXCERPT The couple both in their early eighties went for a hike in the Pink Beds area of Pisgah National Forest. There they crossed paths with fellow hiker Gary and his dog. He eyed the fit but elderly couple as easy victims. Gary had stalked her. He punctured her car tire then offered to help. But instead he kidnapped her. The two struck up a conversation and he hiked with her for a short while. But his age and frail body couldn't keep up with hers. He decided to stop and take a break. And wait for her to descend the trail. And when she did - he pounced. GBI Director Vernon Keenan said that "In all my career I've only met a very few people that I knew to be evil and Hilton was one of them. When you have an encounter with an evil person they have an aura about them, and Hilton was one of the evil people.".
SERIAL KILLER: GARY HILTON 1 MONSTER, 3 STATES, 4 VICTIMS Gary Hilton had a mean streak. The 61 year-old drifter never fit in anywhere except in the woods. There he felt powerful. The sadistic serial killer spread his wrath of anger over three states before he was captured.
