PODCAST EXCERPT Arthur headed west and landed in California. He married Amalia and they raised her two daughters. They were about to lose their house so Arthur filed for bankruptcy to stop the creditors from foreclosing. At forty-three he was working seven days and hardly slept. He watched TV, slept for a couple hours then got up at 4:00am and went to work. He and his wife borrowed fifteen-thousand dollars and handed over the deed to his house as collateral. The ten percent interest on the short- term loan was going to cost $1,500. He had exactly one month to repay the loan or lose the house. Arthur walked to his truck and noticed that the air-compressor wasn't there and automatically assumed Roberto had stolen it. So he decided to drive to his house. He reached under the seat and pulled out his loaded handgun .
